Marketplace Rules

Prohibited items

• Drugs, psychotropic substances, precursor chemicals, drug paraphernalia, and CBD or THC products.
• Weapons and ammunition, including firearm parts, air guns, replica guns, crossbows, stun devices, pepper spray, batons, spring knives, butterfly knives and knuckledusters.
• All medicines: prescription, over-the-counter, proprietary Chinese medicines, injectables, slimming and sexual-enhancement products.
• Medical devices, including contact lenses (also coloured ones), hearing aids, syringes, and opened or invasive devices.
• Tobacco, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, and their liquids, pods and devices.
• Counterfeits, pirated media or software, software keys, and game or online accounts.
• Stolen goods, or items with removed serial numbers.
• Live animals, wildlife, and species or products protected under CITES.
• Fireworks, explosives and gas cylinders.
• Identity documents, licences, number plates, uniforms, registered SIM cards, and personal-data or contact lists.
• Pornographic material.
• Homemade or perishable food; opened cosmetics and mercury skin-lightening products.
• Gambling equipment and chips, and any product under a recall or safety warning.

Prohibited or licence-only services

• Lodging for non-residents whose permitted stay is 90 days or less (“short-term rental”): not allowed without a licence from the Macao Government Tourism Office.
• Property brokering: licensed agents only, with the agent’s name and licence number in the listing. Owners may let or sell their own property.
• Long-term leases: state the lease term and follow the law that applies.
• Loans, credit, pawning and any gambling, betting or junket service: not allowed.
• Paid rides in private cars: not allowed.
• Medical, aesthetic injection or other registered health services: licensed providers only.
• Fee-charging job placement, tours and tour guiding: only with the required licence, shown in the listing.

Allowed with conditions

• Alcohol: verified business sellers only, with an 18+ check at handover.
• Household and tool knives: buyer and seller must be 18 or older, and the knives may not be marketed for attack or self-defence.
• Sealed packaged food and unopened cosmetics: within their expiry date.

Real prices and reservations

• The listed price is the maximum selling price, and the seller must sell at it to a buyer who accepts it.
• No misleading prices to attract attention (for example MOP 1 for a car); the account is suspended or permanently banned.
• A reserved item must be marked sold or available within 48 hours.
• A buyer who does not complete a reservation within 48 hours cannot reserve or buy for 7 days.

Community rules

• Be respectful and stay on topic.
• No hateful, racist, insulting, harassing, threatening, sexually harassing or otherwise abusive speech; accounts that do this may be restricted or permanently banned.
• No scams: do not ask for advance deposits or sign-in codes, and do not send suspicious payment links.
• Do not post other people’s phone numbers, addresses or other personal data.
• Use “Report” for any listing or message that looks suspicious.

Enforcement

Depending on the case we warn, remove content, restrict, suspend or permanently ban accounts. Suspected unlawful conduct may be reported to the Judiciary Police, the Public Security Police or other competent authorities and may be prosecuted.
